I agree with "communication(s) consultant." It seems specific but it's also "roomy" enough to allow for a wide variety of work. I find businesses often don't know exactly what they want and it helps to be flexible.

Work
As a composition instructor and consultant, I find that many writers work too hard to produce too little. Perhaps they try to draft and edit at the same time or exhaust themselves by writing in marathon sessions instead of manageable chunks of time. Some strategies for writing more efficiently are based on writing process research; others come from my experience as a freelance curriculum writer. Areas of special interest are writing productivity, Plain Language, and email etiquette. With my partner in Writing Resources, I also offer editing and customized training.
